Rick Miller, founder and principal at RMC, has deep experience creating and leading programs for blue-chip companies, B2B and consumer brands, not-for-profits and associations. He is best known for his work in corporate communications, product and social marketing (particularly health issues) and crisis management. Prior to starting his own firm, Rick was SVP/General Manager and marketing group director for the global public relations firm Burson-Marsteller in San Francisco and Chicago, and President/Agency Group and President/PR for an integrated, independent firm. Rick works with a virtual team that includes creative, digital, media and culture change specialists. He is also founder and chair of the Communications Accelerator, which shares best practices among leading, publicly traded companies.

Hannah Carver is a graduate of Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science, Journalism from The Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications. Hannah has developed marketing plans and managed social media for clients in the healthcare, food service, and hospitality industries. She began her career in the news media, working as a reporter for online/print publications  and as a multimedia producer in the TV industry. While at WKYT-TV in Lexington, Hannah designed guest segments for the morning show and handled social media accounts  in addition to developing newscasts. She is also experienced in design and video editing and has an accreditation in HTML and CSS coding. Hannah loves telling peoples’ stories through a variety of mediums and spending time with her Golden Retriever Sammi.

Allison Ryan began her career in broadcast news as an assignment editor and producer before moving to public relations and communications consulting. During her tenure at a leading independent agency and at RMC, Allison focused on brand-building public relations for companies such as Bethesda Inc., Cincinnati Children’s, Kroger, Starkist, Birds Eye and Macy’s, and led national media relations efforts for product and service brands. Combining her experience in the newsroom with that of a strategic communicator, Allison has trained dozens of executives and celebrity spokespersons for national media tours, targeted news interviews, and for issues and crisis situations. She also has contributed her time to support charitable causes including Dress for Success and Cincinnati Golfers for Charity.

Ken Jackson is a recent graduate of Kent State University. He completed his master's in public relations in 2018 after previously obtaining a bachelor's degree from Kent State in political science. While in graduate school, Ken held an assistantship with a public relations faculty member where he took part in various award-winning academic research projects in internal communications, digital and social media, education, measurement and fake news. He also developed a strategic communications campaign to increase foot traffic in the Kent State Student Center. Ken has worked two summers with Cleveland Soccer Club managing the team's  website, blogging, conducting media outreach, crafting social media posts and conducting player interviews. He is excited to begin his communications career with Rick Miller Commnuications.

Tom Millikin is a veteran marketing communications professional working across brand, corporate, crisis, executive, financial and social media PR.  He is also a sought after media trainer for C-suite executives. With RMC, Tom has worked with some of the region's largest health care clients, providing marketing communications/PR support and strategic counsel. Tom is also an Adjunct Faculty member at Xavier University’s College of Arts and Sciences, where he teaches Public Relations Strategy and Planning.  Tom spent 20 years in health care communications at P&G and Johnson & Johnson, leading global and national PR programs for some of the world’s most iconic brands.  Tom also led M&A Communications for P&G’s Pharmaceuticals and Health Care Divisions, along with leading corporate financial communications in his early days at P&G.

Sierra Fields  is a an intern with RMC and a student at Xavier University double majoring in Advertising and Public Relations, as well as working toward minors in Media Studies and Digital Media. As a junior in college Sierra has been involved in Student Activities Council and Community Activities Board, for both of which she is Vice President. In addition, Sierra has made improvements to make campus a more inclusive environment for commuter students, and has planned events with the highest attendance to date.  She enjoys being able to spark her creative side and challenge her organizational skills. Sierra is focused on building social and digital content for RMC clients.

Cheryl Brolin Byrne is a seasoned communications professional with a focus on crisis management with a particular expertise in social media and content management. Cheryl began her career in politics at Boston’s City Hall, assistant director of communications for Handgun Control, Inc., working on passage of both the landmark Brady Bill and public affairs director for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). As a consultant, Byrne's clients have ranged from publicly-traded agricultural biotechnology corporations to non-profit affordable housing agencies; from international trade associations to dairy manufacturers, and health-focused companies in the personalized medicine and mental health space.  

 

Denise Suttman has helped Fortune 100 companies and organizations communicate clearly, concisely, and in a compelling manner.  An award-winning practitioner, she has developed engaging social media programs, led consumer and business-to-business communications programs, oversaw merger and acquisition communications, created new markets for consumer technology, protected corporate reputations during crises, and served as an on-camera spokesperson. Previously, Denise led gyro’s North American PR team and was a partner and senior vice president of Fleishman Hillard.   Denise has provided strategic communications counsel and media training for senior-level executives and subject matter experts at Motorola, John Deere, Iams pet foods, Tate & Lyle, Milliken & Company, Myriad Neuroscience and others.

Ron Iori has served as a C-suite executive directing corporate communications for Fortune 500 companies and as a consultant in a variety of industries, including financial services, education, media and  technology. Ron’s experience in high-stakes crisis management is deep and broad. From his involvement in the Ford-Firestone tire crisis to his direction  of communications during intense scrutiny of for-profit higher education, Ron’s work has often dealt with highly visible issues. Ron began his career in newspapers, working at the Wall Street Journal and Los Angeles Times among others.  He moved into public relations as an SVP at Sitrick & Co., a crisis consultant in Los Angeles.  Ron spent nine years as VP of Global Communications at Ford Credit and in the Office of the President.
